Rachel Anne Lacaba is a visual artist from Pangasinan. Her works usually portray social issues here in the Philippines and also cover more universal themes including mental illnesses, environment, war and politics.
Lacaba’s use of striking colors and magical symbolisms marks her own visual style. Her works have been displayed in multiple exhibitions in various major galleries in the Philippines and abroad. She became part of the CANVAS‘ Artist-in-Residence Program (2019 and 2020), a grantee of the TUKLAS Mentorship(2019) and Residency Program(2022) and Linangan Art Residency Mentorship Program (2022). She was also a semi-finalist in the Metrobrank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) Competition for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019).
