To be a woman growing up in a conservative humble family, in a long disputed land in Tarlac, and to be a struggling artist in a male- dominated, highly commercial art scene, Jayme Lucas has been repeatedly questioning herself all her life. In her first solo exhibition, Eternal, at the Eskinita Art Farm, this Tuklas mentee depicts in painterly brushstrokes all these amalgam of inquiries hanging on her head.
